UDX is led by two experienced entrepreneurs with over 35 years of combined professional experience and three US patents. The core engineering team has worked together for over 15 years.

Jim Justice, Founder and CEO: Prior to UDX, Jim founded iPIN (Interactive Transaction Services, Inc.) in 1997, forming a user-friendly electronic payment network where he served as CEO and then Chairman. In 2003, iPIN merged with Network 365 to form Valista. (www.valista.com). iPIN/Valista middleware payment solutions are currently used by AOL, AT&T, British Telecom, VodaFone and France Telecom and others. Jim began his entrepreneurial career starting Grateful Pet in 1992 where he served as President until 1995, at which time the company' s premier product was distributed through over 3000 stores nationwide. Jim has also founded several smaller companies including Sports Information Systems and SimpleBeing, Inc. Jim holds a U.S. patent in electronic payment technology. He has a BS in Economics from VCU and an MBA from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Kenan-Flagler)

Dale Fong, Founder and CTO: Dale has more than 20 years of experience in the design and development of large-scale distributed data systems, energy management and information systems, and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. He was most recently the Director of Technology Strategy for Itron Inc.Previously, he was the CTO of Silicon Energy Corp., an enterprise energy management software company that pioneered the use of advanced applications in energy management which he co-founded in 1997.Silicon Energy was acquired by Itron Inc. (www.itron.com) in 2003 for $71M.Prior to SE, at PG&E Energy Services, Dale led the development of an on-line commercial energy information service using state-of-the-art web technologies targeted at commercial energy customers.The majority of the PG&E electrical distribution grid in Northern California was managed with SCADA software developed by Dale in the late 1980s.Dale has a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University. He currently holds two U.S. patents.

Andrew Shikiar, Acting VP of Business Development: Andrew brings years of strategic marketing and business development expertise in the security, identity management and interactive marketing industries to UDX. In addition to his work as Founder and Principal of Luminance Consulting, Shikiar has held executive and managerial jobs with a variety of technology organizations and industry consortia. Managerial roles at Sun Microsystems included contributions to the launch and business development efforts for the company's Java and Liberty Alliance.Andrew was also a founding executive at Radical Communication, where he helped raise nearly $20 million in venture financing and drove market adoption of interactive video and email marketing technology solutions. Andrew has a B.A. from Emory University.
